Welcome to our International Open Water Diver Course, your gateway to ocean exploration! Whether you’re accompanying friends or genuinely curious about the underwater world, this course will introduce you to an entirely new sensory experience. TDI (Technical Diving International)
Founded in 1994, TDI is a leading organization in technical diving and a pioneer in this field. With unparalleled status in technical diving, TDI offers the global diving community the opportunity to explore deeper, more complex underwater environments and advances the entire diving industry. TDI courses, built on strict safety standards, cover various advanced areas such as mixed gas diving, decompression diving, cave diving, and rebreather diving, making it an ideal platform for recreational divers seeking challenges and progression.

The Origin and Mission of SDI
Due to the growing demand for technical diving courses and the need to cater to recreational divers from various educational systems, TDI established SDI (Scuba Diving International) in 1998 to support the development of recreational diving education. SDI provides a structured and progressive training path for recreational divers who love adventure, helping them build resilience in various challenging environments. SDI courses are innovative and modern; for example, the unique Solo Diver course appeals to divers, such as professional eco-photographers, who need to work alone underwater without the limitations of a buddy system.

Cross-Certification with SDI, PADI, and SSI
While PADI holds a large share in the global recreational diving market, SDI leverages the technical diving experience of its parent company, TDI, to offer a more professional and in-depth course experience. SDI also maintains high cross-certification consistency with other major organizations like NAUI and CMAS.

Unified Standards by WRSTC
This equivalent certification system not only helps students switch between different systems seamlessly but also demonstrates SDI’s consistency and reliability within global certification standards.

Why Choose SDI Certification?

SDI and TDI courses are designed with rigour, focusing on practical training in real-world environments and high-level skill development. SDI offers an ideal pathway for those seeking self-improvement in their diving journey. From the foundational Open Water Diver course to advanced technical courses like the closed-circuit rebreather or professional-level instructor certifications, SDI enhances the learning experience with online learning (E-Learning) and modern teaching methods, offering recreational divers a progressive path that is both distinct and deeply engaging. Choosing SDI means choosing a safer, more professional, and future-ready approach to diving, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver.
