Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men's Pegasus 41 GORE-TEX Waterproof Road Running Shoes are a winterised version of the extremely popular Pegasus 41. As per the standard Pegasus 41, this edition features ReactX foam in the midsole.
ReactX foam is engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles due to reduced manufacturing process energy compared to prior React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations were not considered.
The Pegasus 41 is designed to be durable, dependable and comfortable.
Underfoot Feel
As mentioned, the midsole features ReactX foam. In contrast, the Pegasus 40 featured React foam. ReactX foam is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. The effect of this foam has to be considered in context of the fact that there is a Zoom Air unit at both the heel and the forefoot.
The combination of the ReactX foam and the two Zoom Air units should be responsive cushioning.
This version of the Pegasus 41 has a Storm-Tread outsole - to provide traction in wet weather.
Upper Fit
The upper is designed to cope with the demands of wet-weather running in winter. GORE-TEX and technical mesh help to keep water out. Heathered material around the heel collar helps to keep your ankles warm.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
