Confined Water Training is Step 2 of the Open Water Scuba Diver Certification program.
This class takes place with your instructor in a confined water environment using scuba gear in a pool (or pool-like environment) until you're comfortable. PADI confined water training is a required step in obtaining your Open Water Scuba Diver certification to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.
- Prerequisites: Able to swim & tread water; medically fit for diving & completion of step 1:
- Total time commitment: (3) 4-hour sessions
- Minimum age: 10 years or older
- Availability: Confined Water training courses are offered about every 2 weeks all year long.
